Postdoc in materials processing by Atmospheric Pressure Plasma

A PostDoc position for 1 year (with the possibility of extension) is available on “Materials processing by Atmospheric Pressure Plasma”.

The application deadline is 15th June 2018.

The Postdoctoral Researcher  will be required to engage in the research activities of the EPSRC project (award n. EP/M015211/1) and specifically to design, develop and set-up atmospheric pressure plasma systems for the fabrication/functionalization of nanomaterials and possibly including the characterization of materials, properties and applications. Also, the appointee will be expected to initiate and carry out dissemination activities with focus on high quality peer-reviewed publications and interact with academic/industrial partners.

PhD Opportunities

We are always on the lookout for bright and enthusiastic people who want to pursue a PhD in the new and developing area of CNT synthesis, application and manufacture. 

 

Our research groups work at three departments within the University of Cambridge:- The Institute for Manufacturing; Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy and The Department of Engineering. 

 

Although we are one project, our research groups come from varied areas and have different approaches.  From modelling to manufacture, we have many and diverse methods to solving problems. If you think you might be a good fit with our research, and for information on the potential project areas, please contact us.

 

Students should have achieved, or be expected to achieve, at least an upper second honours degree.
